School board meets Tuesday, Feb. 19
NEEDLES — A district-wide school safety plan, beginning negotiations with the teachers’ union and waiver of residential developer fees are highlights from the agenda of the Needles Unified School District Board of Trustees.
The board meets in regular session Tuesday, Feb. 19, in the District Support Offices on Erin Drive. Public session begins at 6 p.m.
The comprehensive school safety plan runs 133 pages covering subjects from prevention to response to post-incident concerns.
“Sunshine agreements” are to be approved for both the Needles Teachers Association proposal to the district and the district’s proposal to the NTA.
The school board will consider waivers of developer fees for families who wish to build their own homes in Needles.
The board is also to hear and approve financial statements and a report of an independent certified audit for June 20, 2018.
