Discussion of the next phase of the Westmoreland Heritage Trail will take place Thursday night in Export.

The Italian American Club at 5930 Kennedy Avenue will host the 7 p.m. meeting, where trail officials will discuss progress on the fourth phase of the trail, meant to ultimately run continuously between Saltsburg and Monroeville.

The meeting will be held in the social hall below the main IAC bar.

The trail’s third phase opened in September 2017. The fourth phase will be a 3.4-mile stretch which will skirt around the back of Cleveland Brothers on Route 22 in Murrysville before crossing School Road South, Haymaker Farm Road and going under Route 22, crossing Van Buren Street and ending at Lincoln Avenue in Export.
