John Buchholz, 32, Waupun

John “Butch” Buchholz, 32, Waupun, passed away Oct. 10, 2018, as a result of an auto accident.

Butch was born April 18, 1986, in Waupun, to Roland and Joyce Tobak Buchholz. Butch graduated from Waupun High School in 2005. He was a correctional officer for Dodge Correctional for the past 12 years. Butch loved lawn work, music, his dogs, his friends, the Brewers, darts, his Ford trucks, and so much more.

Butch is survived by his girlfriend, Dani Lebakken of Hustisford; his parents, Roland and Joyce Buchholz of Waupun; two sisters, Becky (Josh) Sill of South Carolina and Trisha Buchholz of Waupun; two half-siblings, Dawn (Jason) Moore of Oshkosh and Paul (Jacque) Buchholz of Van Dyne; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Butch was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents; and a niece, Braylee.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 16, at 10:30 a.m. at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun with the Rev. Roger Knowlton officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Mound Cemetery in Waupun. Friends and relatives may call on the family Monday at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to John’s memorial fund.
