‘Dracula’ runs through October at Chief Logan
LOGAN — Make your way through the violent patient ward of a Transylvania Lunatic Asylum, then be whisked away into an epic stage adaptation of Bram Stoker’s classic gothic novel “Dracula” under the stars at the Liz Spurlock Amphitheater at Chief Logan State Park.
“There’s never been a haunted experience of this magnitude ever staged in Southern West Virginia,” said Aracoma Story Inc. director Bill France. “Murderous madmen, bloodthirsty vampires and things that go bump in the night — all in the same location.”
Those who are faint of heart can watch the show without taking the tour of the asylum.
Those who want to do the tour should plan on arriving by 7:30 p.m. to claim their spot on the tour and their seat for the show. The preshow starts promptly at 8 p.m. “Dracula” starts immediately after. Gates open at 7p.m.
“Dracula” and the Transylvania Lunatic Asylum haunted experience performance dates are Friday-Saturday, Oct. 12-13 and Thursday-Saturday, Oct. 18-20 and Oct. 25-27.
