Woman surrenders in hit-and-run death of 5-year-old boy
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Police in Philadelphia say a woman has been arrested for the hit-and-run death of a 5-year-old boy, who was struck last month while playing outside his home.
Police say 25-year-old Anissa Thompson was charged Thursday with homicide by vehicle, accident involving death and involuntary manslaughter in the killing of Xavier Moy.
The district attorney’s office is requesting Thompson be held on $500,000 bail.
Xavier was struck on June 22 near his home in west Philadelphia and the driver fled.
No attorney information is available yet for Thompson.
