SAN FRANCISCO, May 14, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Kenna Security, a leader in predictive cyber risk, announced today that product leader and seasoned executive Jason Rolleston has joined the Kenna leadership team as Chief Product Officer to continue to build out and scale Kenna’s products and platform. Rolleston brings to Kenna a rare combination of technical and business acumen, which has fueled his success leading product teams at McAfee, Cisco, and Symantec.

As Chief Product Officer, Jason will focus on four responsibilities. He will lead product management, including all day-to-day product activities and product direction. He will own technical enablement, crafting a comprehensive plan for enabling sellers, system engineers, partners, and customers. He will lead business development and prioritize technology partnerships while also working to drive strategic go-to-market opportunities. Finally, he will head product marketing, focused on positioning Kenna as the leader in vulnerability management and the larger cybersecurity landscape.

“As Kenna continues its aggressive growth, Jason will play a critical role, drawing on his deep security product experience and insight into security analytics,” said Karim Toubba, CEO at Kenna Security. “Jason’s technical expertise and natural leadership abilities made him the clear choice to take the reins of Kenna’s risk-based approach to vulnerability management. Adding a product leader of Jason’s caliber will help us refine our strategic direction and round out the executive team.”

Jason most recently served as Vice President for Security Operations Products at McAfee, where he was responsible for McAfee’s security operations products, including SIEM, endpoint detection and response, behavioral analytics, and sandboxing. Prior to that, he served as Head of Product Management for Enterprise Routing at Cisco and held several senior positions at Symantec. He holds a B.S. in applied physics and a masters in engineering management from Cornell University, and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

“Kenna gets it,” said Rolleston. “The biggest challenge in cybersecurity is how to best utilize scarce human and financial resources to most effectively secure an organization. Kenna’s ability to prioritize vulnerability management efforts based on risk is a game changer for preventative cybersecurity. By focusing on the threats and vulnerabilities that matter most, organizations not only become more secure, but also more efficient. As Chief Product Officer, I look forward to bringing that capability to more customers and identifying new areas of innovation and impact.”
