NEW YORK (AP) _ Anthony Hopkins wanted to give ``Hannibal″ audiences something to remember from 1991′s ``The Silence of the Lambs.″

Throwing in ``Hello, Clarice″ and other Hannibal ``The Cannibal″ Lecter-isms was like giving the audience ``a morsel of something sexy or spicy,″ Hopkins told reporters.

But the Oscar-winning actor drew the line at repeating the ``pfft pfft pfft″ noise that he made in the first movie when he talked about eating the guy’s liver with fava beans and a nice Chianti.

``Hannibal″ opens in theaters Friday.
