Beaver Dam Police Beat: March 22-24, 2019
Harassment — At 6:52 a.m. Friday, a man in the 100 block of East Maple Avenue reported harassment from an unknown person driving a white Cadillac truck with black rims. He gave other examples of incidents.
Domestic violence — At 2:20 p.m. Friday, police received a report of a man and a woman arguing in the 100 block of East Maple Avenue. The man was taken to jail for bail jumping, false imprisonment and disorderly conduct.
Fire — At 3:04 p.m. Friday, police received a report of a garbage fire at the Shell station, 817 Park Ave. The fire department handled it.
Civil issue — At 4:32 a.m. Saturday, a woman reported that her boyfriend took her silver 2004 Chrysler Pacifica at 1 a.m. to get ice cream and never returned. She was advised it would be a civil issue for now. She said she would like a phone call if the vehicle were stopped so she could go get it.
Theft — At 11:35 a.m. Saturday, a man came to the police department to report that his watch fell off at the bar he was at before and someone must have taken it in the 200 block of Front Street. He wished to file a theft complaint.
Pokémon Go — At 3:32 p.m. Saturday, a woman reported that a vehicle was following her for several blocks while she walked her dog around Mill Street and Spring Street. The driver was playing Pokémon Go. The woman was advised.
Unwanted person — At 8:15 p.m. Saturday, a woman reported that another woman was in the hallway in the 100 block of Lakecrest Drive, yelling and making threats over a cellphone issue. Police made contact with both of them and found conflicting stories. They were advised to separate.
Domestic violence — At 11:37 p.m. Saturday, a woman reported that a man put his hands on her in the 100 block of Lakecrest Drive. When officers arrived, she said it was verbal only. They were separated for the night.
Disorderly conduct — At 12:13 a.m. Sunday, police received a report of two men arguing in the hallway in the 100 block of East Maple Avenue. They received a verbal warning for disorderly conduct.
Fight — At 7:53 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to a report of fighting in the 200 block of West Maple Avenue. One man was taken to jail for disorderly conduct and bail jumping.
Bike issue — At 12:28 p.m. Sunday, a man reported that people were out on unlicensed mini-bikes in the 100 block of Roller Avenue. Three children were on regular bicycles having fun.
