SUNNYVALE, Calif. (AP) _ EGain Corp. (EGAN) on Thursday reported a loss of $536,000 in its fiscal fourth quarter.

The Sunnyvale, California-based company said it had a loss of 2 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for amortization costs and stock option expense, were 1 cent per share.

The maker of customer engagement software posted revenue of $15.6 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported that its loss narrowed to $2 million, or 7 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $61.3 million.

EGain shares have more than doubled since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $12.73, increasing sevenfold in the last 12 months.
