Two arrested in separate drug-related cases
Authorities recently arrested two people on drug-related charges in separate incidents.
The first occurred in Chubbuck on Tuesday.
Police officers there stopped Shelly Skinner, 57, of Pocatello for speeding. During the incident, they were given permission to search the vehicle and they say they discovered methamphetamine and syringes. They subsequently took Skinner into custody.
Skinner has been charged with a felony for possession of a controlled substance, according to Bannock County Magistrate Court records. A preliminary hearing, which determines if there is enough evidence to take the case to trial, has been set for Feb. 13.
The second incident took place in Pocatello on Wednesday night.
Pocatello police were asked to assist in a search at the residence of Tyler D. Bacon, 18, who is on probation. They say they discovered methamphetamine and Suboxone during the search and took Bacon into custody.
He has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, according to Bannock County Magistrate Court records. His preliminary hearing has been set for Feb. 12.
