LOUISVILLE, Ky. _ A state audit says the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources has violated state and federal laws and misspent taxpayer dollars for years.
_OFFICER KILLED-KENTUCKY, from Pikeville: A Kentucky man has pleaded guilty to fatally shooting a police officer as part of a plea deal that recommends he serve life in prison without parole.
_OBIT-LONG, from Shelbyville: Former Kentucky lawmaker Marshall Long, who served a stint as House budget committee chairman, has died after an extended illness.
_LOUISVILLE-DANCE TEAM-COACH, from Louisville: A termination letter released by the University of Louisville says its dance team coach was fired for financial misconduct.
_STATE TROOPERS-FOOD DRIVE, from Frankfort: Kentucky State Police say troopers around the state have collected 211 tons of food for its annual “Cram the Cruiser” food drive.
