Husker football recruit to start at JUCO College
Willie Canty, a three-star offensive tackle signee from Florida, won’t be enrolling at Nebraska, he told The Omaha World-Herald early this morning.
Canty will instead be enrolling at Garden City Community College in Kansas. The 6’6, 290-pound Canty said the plan right now is to play at Garden City for two years, then enroll at Nebraska. He committed to Nebraska in February on National Signing Day. Canty was rated the No. 91 offensive tackle in the 2018 class and held offers from Nebraska, Louisville, Butler and UCF. With Canty out, Nebraska is now down to 82 scholarship players.
