Homeless man charged in connection with car dealership burglary

HUNTINGTON — The following information was provided by police reports from the Cabell County Sheriff’s Office:

BURGLARY: A homeless man is accused of burglarizing a used car dealership in the 3300 block of U.S. 60 just before midnight Wednesday.

Robert Nibert, 50, is charged with nighttime burglary, attempt to commit a felony (grand larceny) and destruction of property. Bond was set at $25,000 by Magistrate Mike Woelfel. Nibert was taken to Western Regional Jail.

According to the report, surveillance footage shows a white man in a striped shirt throwing a rock through the front glass door of the establishment and entering the building. The suspect then exited the building after going through offices and desks. The footage then shows the suspect enter a Dodge Dakota that was parked on the lot.

Deputies found the suspect asleep in the driver seat of the vehicle, and he was taken into custody without incident.

The suspect told police the vehicle was unlocked and that he intended to steal it but did not find the correct key. Several keys were found inside the vehicle, and police reported damage to the ignition of the vehicle.

The following information was provided by booking records kept at Western Regional Jail:

Miranda Desarae Fryer, 27, was jailed at 12:10 a.m. Friday. Authorities in Cabell County charged her with being a fugitive from justice. Bond was not set.

Brian LeeWebb, 39, was jailed at 8:45 p.m. Thursday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with receiving or transferring stolen property, third-offense DUI, improper registration, driving on a suspended or revoked license for DUI and no proof of insurance. Bond was $40,000.

Angelica Shawn Williams, 22, was jailed at 2:15 p.m. Thursday. Authorities in Lincoln County charged her with a home confinement violation. Bond was not set.

Donald Aaron Casto, 47, was jailed at 8:10 p.m. Thursday. Authorities in Wayne County charged him with being a fugitive from justice. Bond was not set.

Joshua Lee Holbert, 38, was jailed at 8 a.m. Friday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with possession of a controlled substance. Bond was set at $10,000 cash only.

Noah Hale, 19, was jailed at 1:30 p.m. Friday. Authorities in Wayne County charged him with reckless driving and fleeing with reckless indifference. Bond was set at $15,000.
