Man accused of assault, credit theft in Orange
ORANGE — A local man was arrested Friday morning, after allegedly getting into a fight and stealing a credit card.
According to Orange police, shortly after 8:30 a.m. Friday, officers responded to an Avalon Drive West address on a report of a dispute.
Police said an investigation revealed that Michael J. Cooper, 48, of Orange, had a verbal altercation with another individual which turned into a physical altercation. He also allegedly interrupted a police call and stole a credit card during the incident.
Subsequently, he was taken into custody and charged with third-degree assault, second-degree threatening, interference with an emergency call and credit card theft.
Cooper was held on a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Monday.
