SANDOWN, N.H. (AP) — Authorities say a New Hampshire woman crawled away from an ATV crash and yelled to a neighbor, who called 911.

Fish and Game conservation officers say 32-year-old Melissa Nolet, was driving her ATV in Sandown on Wednesday when she lost control, and it rolled on top of her. She was able to free herself, but was unable to walk.

With no cellphone or other means of communication, Nolet crawled about three-tenths of a mile back to her home.

As she got close, she was able to yell for help to a neighbor and was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers say it appears that operator inexperience was the primary cause of the accident.
