The Cincinnati Reds completed the first phase of spring training
TAMPA, Fla. (AP) _ The Cincinnati Reds completed the first phase of spring training Wednesday as regulars were expected to report to join pitchers and catchers.
The first full-squad workout was scheduled for Thursay morning.
No injuries were reported among pitchers and catchers in their week of conditioning, according to trainer Larry Starr.
″The group (of pitchers and catchers) is by far the best physically conditioned group we’ve ever had here,″ Starr said. ″There is no one person that is greatly out of shape; the majority of them is in good shape, and the balance is in great shape.″
