Army veteran uses craftwork to help support other veterans
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — A U.S. Army veteran and Rhode Island resident is helping other veterans in need by selling unique bracelets based on his time in the military.
Keith Cochran, who has served four tours, now has a passion of creating handmade bracelets. WJAR-TV reports Cochran’s bracelets are made from military-issue materials, like bullet casings and multicolored parachute cords he gets from supply stores.
Proceeds from his sales go to 22 Kill, a program dedicated to working with veterans suffering from anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Cochran says he is also working with a company to create a website for other retail products made by veterans.
