4-H animal shows set to start at the Madison County Fair Thursday

July 12, 2018

MADISON - Every day of the Madison County Fair is jam packed with entertainment and Thursday is no different.

President of the Madison County Ag Society, Todd Volk says Thursday is the first day for a lot of 4-H animal showings.

“The hog, dairy, and horse shows are Thursday. The hogs leave Thursday afternoon early so if you were planning on going down there to see some piggies make sure to come early.”

Volk says an event that’s usually a big hit is the R/C racing and sprint car simulator. It will be at the north end of the fairgrounds from 4:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M.

The Mid-States Championship Rodeo will be going on again Thursday night at the Grandstand Arena and start at 7:30 P.M.

The second night of the carnival will also be Thursday night at the Midway from 6 P.M. to 11 P.M.
