Police investigate shot fired into home Sunday
No one was injured when a bullet from a what appears to be an errant gunshot lodged into a kitchen cabinet at a Rochester home Sunday night.
The resident, a 53-year-old woman, did not appear to be targeted in the incident, Rochester Police Capt. John Sherwin said.
Police were called to the 1700 block of 8 1/2 Street Southeast shortly after 10 p.m. where they found a bullet had entered the home through a window, traveled through a living room wall and lodged in a kitchen cabinet.
The incident happened at about 9:30 p.m., Sherwin said. Police responding to the scene found a live, unspent round outside the building but did not find a spent shell casing.
