PIERCE — Services for Pamela S. Planer, 59, Pierce, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk. The Rev. Lee Weander will officiate with burial in the Prospect View Cemetery in Pierce.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel.
She died Friday, Sept. 21, 2018, at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.
Pamela Sue Planer was born Sept. 12, 1959, in Norfolk, the daughter of Darrel and Charlotte (Jenkins) Planer. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion East Lutheran Church in rural Hoskins. She attended Pierce Public Schools and graduated from Pierce High School in 1977.
She worked different jobs throughout her life, raising dogs — Sheltie, Pugs and Shiba Inu. The last seven years she delivered the Omaha World Herald newspaper. She enjoyed horseback riding and being around her horses.
Survivors include a daughter, Christina Clausen of Carroll; a son, Ray (Jamie) Clausen of Pierce; five grandchildren, Tristan, Cole, Sydnee, Savannah and Shae; and her siblings, Fred (Kathy) Planer of Pierce and Darla Planer of Lincoln.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Darrel and Charlotte; a brother, Jeffrey Planer; and a sister, Debra Sporleder.
Music will be recorded hymns: “How Can I Help You Say Goodbye,” “You Should Be Here” and “When I Get Where I’m Going.” Casketbearers will be Eric Planer, Adam Planer, Roland Sporleder Jr., Shawn Sporleder, Steve Thayer and John Planer.
