Boston Globe Reporter Wins Award
WASHINGTON (AP) _ Boston Globe reporter John A. Farrell has won a journalism prize for a series on then-Texas Gov. George W. Bush and capital punishment.
Farrell was named the winner of the Raymond Clapper Memorial Award on Friday.
David Wood of Newhouse News Service won second place for an article on the life and death of Andrew Triplett, the only officer to die in the terrorist bombing of the USS Cole.
Washington Post reporter Michael Grunwald received honorable mention for his examination of the work of the Army Corps of Engineers.
