Lebanon church will present cantata

December 6, 2018

LEBANON -- Immanuel Lutheran Church of Lebanon’s Voices of Praise choir, along with area musicians, will present “The Mercy Manger” written by Jay Rouse on Sunday at 9 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Lebanon, N554 County Highway R.

“This cantata is a wonderful blend of old and new songs, beautiful melodies and strong accessible choral harmonies that will invite you to celebrate the love and mercy of a Father who offered us free and unmerited favor, His mercy -- in a manger,” stated a media release for the event.

Joan Grosenick and Russell Tietz will be featured in a duet in “To Hold This Dream.” Joelle Lillge will share a solo in “The Mercy Manger” reprise. Woodwinds, strings, percussion and brass will also be featured in the accompaniment along with narrations by Pam Bartee and Jeff Lehman.

The cantata is under the direction of Gail Schroeder-Hoffman.

The public is invited to attend. The church is handicap accessible and equipped with a hearing loop.
