Norfolk High football looks to move forward from loss to Bellevue West; gets ready for Omaha Central

The Norfolk High football team is 2-4 on the year after falling at home to second ranked Bellevue West 62-27 last Friday.

The Panthers’ scoring came courtesy of Jace Monday’s four touchdown passes. Gage Dohren was the recipient of two of the scores and Connor Clayton & Tyler Wilson caught the other two touchdown passes. Norfolk, who has beaten Columbus & Omaha South while falling to Elkhorn, Kearney, Lincoln Northeast, & Bellevue West are being outscored by their opponents on average through six contests 27.5-23.2. Monday has taken the quarterback reins since Brandon Hart’s season ended with a thumb injury. Monday, in two starts, has thrown six touchdown passes this season with four last week against second ranked Bellevue West. Norfolk returns to action on Friday when they visit 2-4 Omaha Central in a game that can be heard on Lite Rock 97.5 KEXL.
