ROCK FALLS – No one was hurt Wednesday in a mobile home fire at Lot 39, 1600 Riverdale Road.
Rock Falls Fire Captain Ken Wolf said the fire was reported at 4:07 p.m., and started beneath the unoccupied home.
“It was a total loss,” Wolf said.
Assisting Rock Falls were Sterling, Dixon city and rural, Tampico, Milledgeville, Polo, and Prophetstown firefighters. Tender trucks emptied water into a pool to assist with the fire.
While there was a report at 6:57 p.m. of smoke coming from the trailer, Wolf said it was steam, and the fire did not rekindle.
