Woman in critical condition after shooting
HUNTINGTON – The Huntington Police Department is investigating a shooting that sent one person to the hospital Sunday evening.
According to Huntington Police Captain Rocky Johnson, the shooting was reported at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday in the 1800 block of Doulton Avenue in the Fairfield neighborhood of Huntington.
When officers arrived, they found Lois Burnside, 51, of Huntington, had suffered gunshot wounds to an unknown location.
Burnside was transported by EMS to a local hospital, where she underwent surgery. Johnson said Burnside is currently in critical, but stable condition.
The shooting remains under investigation.
