Norfolk man arrested after walking in street blocking traffic
NORFOLK - A Norfolk man was arrested after found in the middle of the street Tuesday morning.
According to Captain Mike Bauer, the Norfolk Police Division received a number of complaints about a man walking in the westbound traffic lanes of the 800 block of Pasewalk Avenue.
The rain made it difficult to see him and traffic was backed up for over a block.
Officers arrived in the area and located the man blocking traffic in the 1100 block of Pasewalk Avenue.
He refused to identify himself or comply with the officer’s requests, and he continued onto South 13th Street and was walking in the middle of the roadway.
The man, later identified as 19-year-old Moses Roemhildt was arrested for obstruction of the police officer.
He was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
