The program teams youth with an employment specialist for one-on-one counseling and group workshops to assist in career, education and life planning. The objective is to receive a GED, training certificate, college degree, and find employment. The program will provide tutoring, job skills and a variety of life skills classes ranging from how to write a resume to how to rent an apartment and prepare for a driver’s license.

Based on individual needs, the program will offer some funds for tuition, books, supplies and support services.

Paid work experience will be allocated to all who are qualified and enrolled in the program.

To qualify, applicants must be willing to work towards a GED or occupational certificate or degree; be 17 to 24 years old and out of school; live in San Bernardino County; and have a barrier to employment.

The Title I financially assisted program is an equal opportunity program.

It is funded by federal, state and local government agencies, including the San Bernardino County Workforce Development Department. Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities.
