Minot man sentenced for stealing from drug task force
MINOT, N.D. (AP) — A Minot man who was the target of a controlled drug buy has been sentenced for stealing from the drug task force that arranged it.
Court documents show that a confidential informant for the Ward County Narcotics Task Force arranged to buy drugs from 22-year-old Aaron Freeman, and Freeman took off with the $600 he was given.
The Minot Daily News reports Freeman recently pleaded guilty to theft- and drug-related charges and was sentenced to the 27 days he’d already served in jail. He’ll be on probation for two years.
Freeman also must pay restitution along with his get-away driver, who pleaded guilty in the case earlier to a conspiracy charge.
