27 arrested outside Boston in ‘Operation Clean Slate’
BROCKTON, Mass. (AP) — Dozens of people are in custody after police in southeastern Massachusetts executed numerous outstanding warrants.
Authorities say police swept through Brockton early Tuesday during “Operation Clean Slate” and arrested at least 27 people on gun and drug-related charges.
Plymouth District Attorney Timothy Cruz said in a statement that police found a handgun, large amounts of heroin and cash in the raids.
About 100 law enforcement officers from state, city and federal agencies carried out the arrests.
The raids continued throughout Tuesday and Cruz’s office expects more people to be arrested.
