Greenwich Hospital honored for outpatient care

November 27, 2018

GREENWICH — A health-care consulting organization that compiles data about the medical field is honoring Greenwich Hospital for its outpatient care.

The “Guardian of Excellence Award” from Press Ganey cited the hospital for hitting high numbers on patient satisfaction with services provided outside the hospital. The outpatient offerings at the hospital involve 37 individual departments.

The health-care organization, which has numerous locations around the country, provides education, consulting services and data-analysis for medical institutions. Only a small percentage of hospitals are recognized by the company for excellence, according to the organization.

In a statement, Greenwich Hospital President Norman Roth said the award was the culmination of hard work at many different levels. “All of our employees - from the front-line staff to the medical teams, to those who work behind the scenes - are focused on providing our patients and visitors with the best possible experience,” he said.

The award was recently presented at a convention in Orlando, Fla.
