Omaha woman, 20, arrested in stabbing after fight over a cigarette

A 20-year-old Omaha woman was arrested Saturday night after allegedly stabbing another woman over a cigarette.

Officers were called to 5044 Read St. about 9:30 p.m. and found Aayliah Grant, 19, with a stab wound.

Grant told police that another woman cut her during an argument over a cigarette.

Grant was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center with a non-life-threatening injury, police said.

The 20-year-old woman was booked into the Douglas County Jail on suspicion of felony assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
