February 1, 2019

We have one more deal with below average temperatures.

Just before 5 a.m., the temperature was 5 degrees in Oxford and Cornwall, 7 in Danbury and 10 degrees along the shoreline.

The National Weather Service says. “While an arctic air mass sits over the region today, an upperlevel disturbance passing south of the area could produce a few flurries. Temperatureswill remain around 15 degrees below average for the date.

“Temperatures will rebound on Saturday, as winds shift to the southwest. Although most of the area will eclipse freezing, highs will remain below average for one last day.”

The Climate Prediction Center says there is a high probability of well above normal temperatures Monday and especially Tuesday with highs well into the 50s and possibly near 60 across the Northeast.
