NORFOLK — A celebration of life for Dorothy L. Sprengeler, 87, Eau Claire, Wis., will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Norfolk.
Chippewa Valley Cremation Services in Altoona, Wis., is in charge of arrangements.
She died Saturday, July 28, 2018, at her home in Eau Claire.
Dorothy Lou Sprengeler was born May 11, 1931, in Norfolk, the daughter of Clarence and Rose (Ellenberger) Roker. Dorothy graduated from Norfolk High School in 1949. She was employed at Kollman Warner Seed Company, Bankers Life of Nebraska and Land Air, all in Norfolk.
On April 11, 1954, she married Marlin Sprengeler in Norfolk. In 1954, they moved to Cheyenne, Wyo., where she gave birth to their two sons, John and James. The family moved to North Platte in 1961. In 1984, they started their own business, Novus Windshield Repair in North Platte. They continued to run the business together until their retirement in 2000. Marlin passed away in 2010, and Dorothy moved to Eau Claire to be close to her sons.
She is survived by her sons, John (Kara) and James (Karen); three grandchildren, Rachel, Hannah and Grace; a great-granddaughter, Willow; and her sister, Florence Sohl of Norfolk.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her spouse and parents.
