Lawrence grand jury returns 50 indictments

IRONTON — A Lawrence County grand jury returned nearly 50 indictments Thursday, including one aggravated murder indictment and one sealed drug indictment. Most of the indictments involved drug charges.

There also were three no bills, according to the office of Prosecuting Attorney Brigham Anderson.

Larry M. Chinn, 30, of Ohio 141, Ironton, was indicted on a charge of aggravated vehicular assault and a misdemeanor charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and or drugs.

Joshua S. Dodson, 18, of Ohio 217, Kitts Hill, was indicted on a charge of felonious assault.

Frederick R. Jenkins Jr., 40, of Toledo, Ohio, was indicted on charges of tampering with evidence and aggravated possession of drugs.

Jackie L. Miller, 56, of Township Road 44, Ironton, was indicted on two counts of aggravated possession of drugs and tampering with evidence.

Tracy R. McNeely, 37, of the 2100 block of Madison Avenue, Huntington, was indicted on charges of tampering with evidence, aggravated possession of drugs and possession of drug abuse instruments.

Marian Fields, 46, of Grove Street, Russell, Ky., was indicted on a charge of possession of drugs (meth).

David L. Dungan, 37, of Ridge Avenue, Russell, was indicted on a charge of possession of drugs (meth).

David C. Barry, 49, of Fairview Drive, South Point, was indicted on a charge of operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Barry has pleaded guilty five or more times to drunk driving charges in the past 20 years.

Halicia M. Melbar, 27, of County Road 70, Proctorville, was indicted on charges of tampering with evidence, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle and two counts of possession of drugs (oxycodone and suboxone).

Staci N. Bordelon, 30, of Black Road, Ironton, was indicted on charges of tampering with evidence and aggravated possession of drugs (meth).

Jerry R. Frye, 58, of Jerie Court, Ashland, was indicted on charges of tampering with evidence, possession of cocaine and possession of drugs (oxycodone).

John L. Patterson Jr., 19, of Gallipolis, Ohio, was indicted on charges of tampering with evidence and possession of drugs (meth).

Kallie M. Briggs, 20, of Gallipolis, was indicted on charges of tampering with evidence and possession of drugs (meth).

John E. Collins, 28, of New Lebanon, Ohio, was indicted on charges of aggravated trafficking in drugs, three counts of aggravated possession of drugs and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle.

Anthony M. Biggs, no age or address listed, of Huntington, was indicted on charges of receiving stolen property and possession of drugs.

Breanna J. Boggess, 30, of the 1700 block of South 4th Street, Ironton, was indicted on a charge of receiving stolen property.

Mason C. Thacker, 30, of Ohio 93, Ironton, was indicted on charges of failure to appear and aggravated possession of drugs.

Paula R. Rice, 51, of Riddle Street, Flatwoods, Ky., was indicted on two counts of burglary and a misdemeanor charge of theft.

Melissa D. LeGrand, 42, of Willow Wood, was indicted on charges of aggravated trafficking in drugs and aggravated possession of drugs (heroin).

Michael D. Maze, 32, of County Road 123, Chesapeake, was indicted on two counts of assault on a peace officer.

Shawn A. Patrick, 30, of Private Drive 2482, Proctorville, was indicted on charges of improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle and possession of drugs.

Joseph D. Hicks, 38, of Louisville, Ky., was indicted on two counts of possession of drugs (cocaine and heroin) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Eugene C. Likens, 34, a homeless South Point resident, was indicted on charges of trafficking in cocaine, trafficking in heroin and trafficking in drugs (suboxone).

Kenneth V. Winters, 59, of the 1600 block of South 4th Street, Ironton, was indicted on a charge of aggravated possession of drugs (meth).

Paul Rockel, 33, of the 700 block of Etna Street, Ironton, was indicted on charges of aggravated possession of heroin, possession of drug abuse instruments and falsification.

Tina E. Bowens, 42, of Peebles, Ohio, was indicted on a charge of possession of heroin.

James J. Brown, 25, of the 2000 block of South 6th Street, Ironton, was indicted on a charge of possession of heroin.

Brandon Rice, 32, of Killeen Bell, Texas, was indicted on a charge of breaking and entering.

Zachary G. Cooley, 38, of Argillite, Ky., was indicted on a charge of aggravated possession of drugs (meth).

Pamela J. Criswell, 38, of Lake Bonita Road, Catlettsburg, Ky., was indicted on two counts of aggravated possession of drugs (heroin and meth).

Dee A. Tibbs. 41, Sciotoville, Ohio, was indicted on a charge of aggravated possession of drugs (meth).

Chad M. Coleman, 32, of Trenton Place, Huntington, was indicted on charges of aggravated possession of drugs (heroin and meth).

Scott L. Midkiff. 32, of Camp Road, Lavalette, was indicted on charges of trafficking in cocaine and trafficking in heroin. The indictment also seeks confiscation of $1,800.

Seth N. Thompson, 27, of the 1900 block of Dixon Street, Ashland, was indicted on a charge of aggravated possession of drugs (meth).

Crystal M. Virgin, 35, of Hammer Street, Flatwoods, Ky., was indicted on charges of aggravated possession of heroin and aggravated possession of drugs (meth).

Chester L. Burton Jr., 35, of Carson Street, Huntington, was indicted on charges of complicity to trafficking in heroin and complicity to trafficking in cocaine.

Nathaniel T. Marshall, 23, of Scott Avenue, Ironton, was indicted on a charge of possession of heroin.

Jessie R. Childers, 25, of the 2700 block of Guyan Avenue, Huntington, was indicted on charges of aggravated possession of drugs (heroin and meth).

Brittany L. Keller, 32, of Township Road 1419, Proctorville, was indicted on a charge of breaking and entering.

Damion Fox, 33, of Township Road 1021, South Point, was indicted on a charge of theft.

Michael T. Meadows, 30, of Myrtle Beach, SC, was indicted on a charge of identity fraud.

Trenton D. Adkins. 19, of County Road 115, Chesapeake, was indicted on a charge of possession of drugs (meth).

Nicholas Barton, 20, of County Road 12, Proctorville, was indicted on a charge of possession of drugs (meth).

Cameron L. Jones, 24, of Township Road 276N, South Point, was indicted on a charge of possession of drugs (meth).

Georgina Maynard, 60, of the 2800 block of Hilton Avenue, was indicted on a charge of possession of heroin.

Joshua Harless, 38, of Township Road 279, Pedro, was indicted on a charge of failure to notify a change of address.

An indictment is a formal charge made against a person by a grand jury. It does not establish guilt or innocence.
