Bourbonnais police arrested Raymond V. Herman. 48, of Wilmington, for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence of alcohol with a breath/blood alcohol content greater than .08 on Nov. 21. According to a report, an officer taking a report on another matter at Briarcliff Shell smelled alcohol on Herman’s breath when he walked past the officer. Herman got into his vehicle and headed eastbound on Main Street NW. The officer followed Herman, who pulled into the parking lot at AutoZone on North Convent Avenue. After field sobriety tests, Herman was arrested. He agreed to take a breath test at the station, which resulted in a .120 reading. He posted the required bond and was released.
