WASHINGTON (AP) _ Two teams of disabled children from Virginia took to the T-ball field on the White House South Lawn on Sunday, the third installment in President Bush's summer series.

Sunday's game featured teams from the Little League Challenger division for mentally and physically disabled children. The players came from Springfield and Virginia Beach some of them in wheelchairs or walkers. A few players were carried around the bases.

Bush played his customary role, planting the first ball on the tee, declaring ``play ball!'' and then watching from the stands behind first base. Afterward, he dispensed autographed baseballs and hugs.

The game was capped by inside-the-park homers, one by Matthew Taylor of the Virginia Beach Challengers, one by Kyle Young of the Springfield Challenger Hawks.
