Teens escape from South Florida juvenile detention center
MIAMI (AP) — Authorities are searching for two teens who escaped through a classroom window of a South Florida juvenile detention center.
Miami-Dade police said in a news release that three teens, ages 16, 15 and 14, ran away from the Miami Youth Academy on Sunday.
Investigators say calls came in from residents of nearby apartment complexes who saw the teens and the 15-year-old was captured. The other two are still missing and police are looking for them. Police said both teens are known to be violent and are urging people to call 911 if they spot them.
