Village of Somonauk seeking feedback from residents, business owners

March 12, 2019

SOMONAUK – Residents with constructive criticism, especially relating to downtown development, are invited to fill out surveys which will help steer the future of Somonauk.

According to a press release, the village received a two-part grant from the DeKalb County Community Foundation to collect survey data from residents, business owners, and organization leaders wishing to provide input.

There are two surveys: one for people living in or near Somonauk, and one for businesses and organizations that operate in and around the village.

The resident surveys can be picked up at the village hall, 131 S. Depot St., filled out, and returned there. Business surveys will be mailed to the respective businesses; if they do not receive it, they should email villageofsomonauk@indianvalley.com to request one digitally.

All survey responses will be kept confidential, and only summary information will be included in in public discussions planned for a later date.

Folks have until April 5 to complete the surveys.
