Woman seriously injured in auto-pedestrian crash
HARLINGEN — Police continue to investigate an auto-pedestrian crash that left a woman seriously injured late Wednesday afternoon.
According to a news release, when officers arrived on scene, the adult female pedestrian was lying on the street with serious injuries.
Police have not released the name of the woman at this time.
The crash occurred in the 400 block of South F Street as on-coming traffic approached at 5:03 p.m.
Police said the driver of the vehicle stopped and remained at the scene.
The Harlingen Fire Department and Harlingen Emergency Medical Services arrived on scene to provide medical treatment for the woman.
She was transported to a local hospital for further treatment.
No further information has been released at this time.
The Harlingen Police Highway Enforcement Unit continues to investigate the crash.
