75-year-old man dies when his classic car crashes
SOUTHINGTON, Conn. (AP) — Police in Connecticut say a 75-year-old man died over the weekend when the classic car he was driving struck a parked vehicle.
Southington police say Arthur Kelly was ejected from the 1941 Willys Model 441 when he crossed the yellow center lines and struck the unoccupied car at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
The Southington man was transported in an ambulance to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The older car suffered extensive damage but damage to the parked car was described as “moderate.”
The crash remains under investigation.
