Police identify Tacoma man killed during a home break in
TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — Tacoma officials have identified the 24-year-old man who was shot and killed during a home break-in.
The News Tribune reports Jawuan Swift was shot to death by intruders who kicked in the door of his Tacoma home on Wednesday.
Police have not arrested anyone connection to his death.
Police say Swift, his girlfriend and her 5-year-old son were in the home when two men broke in to rob them.
Swift was shot after he came out of his bedroom.
The woman and her son were not harmed.
Detectives believe Swift knew the intruders who took money before they fled.
