Have a heart: Pets seek forever homes from Greenwich Animal Control

February 4, 2019

GREENWICH — In hopes of finding their forever homes, two special pets from the Greenwich Animal Control are enjoying a moment in the spotlight just in time for Valentin’s Day.

Babs and Glimmer could use some extra love, according to Suzanne Carlin, the town’s animal control officer. To that end, she created personal ads for the two pets.

A mixed breed, Babs is an adventurer with an athletic build.

“No need for a gym membership because I’m all you need,” Bab’s ad says. “I can be your great workout buddy, hiking, jogging you name it. I enjoy long quiet walks on the beach, playing ball and rolling around in the grass. I am seeking a companion with a large fenced in backyard and a big comfy couch to call my own. Good taste in food is a definite plus. Please open your heart and home to me.”

Glimmer is white cat with tan markings.

“I am a fun-loving girl, who is laid back,” Glimmer’s ad says. “I enjoy treats, napping, playing with toys, cuddling on the couch. I am seeking a loving home with a big couch to cuddle up in, where I can listen to all your secrets. I enjoy good food and lots of tasty treats, a few toys to help keep me somewhat active, as I need to shed some of my holiday weight. Please open your heart and home for me.”
