Prosecutor: Death at NJ senior community probed
MANCHESTER, N.J. (AP) — Authorities say a death at a New Jersey senior community is under investigation, but there is no danger to the public.
The Asbury Park Press reports that the Ocean County prosecutor’s office said the person died Monday at the Leisure Village West community in Manchester Township.
A spokesman says the major crime unit of the prosecutor’s office is investigating along with local police and the county sheriff’s department.
The Ocean County sheriff said the county’s 911 center received a call from a neighbor about an “injured party” at the residence, and the regional SWAT team was mobilized. Sheriff Michael Mastronardy declined to comment further.
