Bridge work to close Route 66 in Bethel, Manor townships

November 20, 2018

Route 66 will close at 7 a.m. Nov. 6 as part of the Oakland Cemetery bridge project in Bethel and Manor townships, PennDOT announced Monday.

The north and southbound lanes will be closed to all traffic at the bridge over Crooked Creek to facilitate work being done on placement of the bridge’s concrete deck. A detour will be posted.

Route 66 is scheduled to reopen at 7 a.m. Nov. 13.

The bridge is expected to be open by the end of December. Swank Construction is doing the work.

The work is weather dependent and may need to be rescheduled, according to PennDOT.
