Nagle looking good for ECHL’s Walleye
I dare say I’ve covered more Pat Nagle games that anyone. And, of course, I’ve watched closely what he’s done this postseason. I’ve never seen his game at this level.
Tonight, he stopped 29 shots in a 4-1 victory for the Toledo Walleye, which has a 3-2 series lead going back to the Huntington Center in the crazily formatted 2-3-1-1 series. In fairness, the Tulsa Oilers lost their starting goalie, Devin Williams, to an injury after 17:28 tonight, but the Walleye continues to look good.
The only team that’s looked better, the Newfoundland Growlers, advanced to the Kelly Cup finals with a 3-0 victory over the Florida Everblades. The Growlers outscored Florida 9-0 in the last two games.
