Morgan Heritage add Southern touch to reggae

A new island-inspired sound is emerging in Nashville, Tennessee, thanks to a Grammy-winning ambassador for reggae music. Morgan Heritage started in the ‘90s as a sibling band whose father is Jamaican reggae singer Denroy Morgan. The siblings added a Southern touch to their latest Grammy-nominated album, “Avrakedabra,” which was partially recorded in Nashville, where band member Roy “Gramps” Morgan lives. (Jan. 10)
