NORFOLK — Memorial services for Ervin R. Grashorn Jr., 53, Stanton, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at Westridge United Methodist Church in Norfolk. The Rev. Donna Goltry will officiate. Burial will be in Stanton Cemetery.
Visitation with family will begin an hour prior to services at the church. Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.
He died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019, at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha.
Ervin was born Sept. 17, 1965, in Norfolk, to his parents, Ervin Sr. and Gladys (Mack) Grashorn. He graduated from Stanton High School in 1985. Following graduation, Ervin worked at the Nebraska State Capitol cafeteria. Then, he returned to Stanton and worked odd jobs, such as mowing for city residents and as a worker for Wolff’s Trash Service.
Ervin enjoyed karaoke and watching movies. He liked the annual demolition derby at the Stanton County Fair. Ervin loved spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his sister, Vilean Armentrout of Grand Island; a brother, Gary Grashorn of Canistota, S.D.; aunts, uncles and cousins.
Ervin was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Larry.
