KATO, Japan (AP) _ Ryoken Kawagishi made four consecutive birdie putts in a bogey-free round of 6-under-par 66 Saturday that gave him a one-stroke lead after 54 holes of the $1.9 million Philip Morris Championship.

Kawagishi, pursuing his first victory on the Japanese tour since 1995, birdied the second hole then began a rampage on the par-5 fourth at the 7,176-yard ABC Golf Club. He finished the third round 14 under at 202.

One shot behind Kawagishi entering the final 18 holes Sunday is second-round leader Katsunori Kuwabara, who had a 69 Saturday.

Kaname Yokoo and Myanmar's Zaw Moe were at 205. Yokoo had a 67 Saturday, and Moe carded a 71.

Naomichi ``Joe'' Ozaki, seeking his fourth win this year, had a 67, and was tied with four others six shots off the lead in the chase for a winning purse of $381,388.
