LOWELL -- Under the direction of Leon Grande, the first-ever members of Lowell Catholic’s new pep band took to the stands under the Friday night lights for a football game last week.

The pep band, made up of students in grades 7-12, played such classics as Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline,” worked well together and sounded great.

LC looks forward to the band’s growth as a permanent accompaniment to home football games.

“I was very proud of how quickly this group came together to give 100 percent effort and show their school spirit, ” Grande said.
