Florence One schools will be closed Monday

September 17, 2018

FLORENCE, S.C. – Florence One Schools will be closed Monday because of the lasting effects from Hurricane Florence.

That news was posted late Sunday afternoon on the home page of the district’s website.

It will be the fifth consecutive school day with no classes.

After S.C. Gov. Henry McMaster announced a week ago that coastal evacuations would begin on Tuesday, Florence One Schools and most other districts in the Pee Dee called off school for the rest of the week.

There was no word Sunday on when classes will resume.
